Group Financial Controller

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for all aspects of accounting and finances for the Holding company and all of its subsidiaries.
  • Oversee the company various subsidiaries to ensure they set and achieve realistic goals and manage the cash flow and finances in a responsible and profitable manner.
  • Prepare financial and management reports in compliance with statutory and other relevant authorities requirements, cash flow, management financial forecast, business plans, budgets, financial analysis, internal control and credit control.
  • Review pricing, financial aspects and other commercial terms of all contracts, appropriation for major expenditure.
  • Definition, establishment and enforcement of financial risk control processes and activities necessary to ensure sound business.
  • Act as an advisor to guide the individual subsidiary heads on the financial implications of their various strategies and to assist the subsidiary heads to develop a financially feasible plan of execution.
  • Ensure company account audits are passed successfully and statutory accounts prepared in accordance with agreed timetable.
  • Responsible for Company Secretarial, Legal and Administrative matters.
  • Oversee the Groups Investments and business proposals to supply the various subsidiary heads with professional and objective reports on the proposed projects and on those projects already being executed. This enables the various subsidiary heads to make timely and profitable business decisions.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualification: ACCA, CIMA, MACPA and relevant qualifications.
  • Experience at senior financial level in Engineering Field.
  • At least 8 year(s) of working experience.
  • Person must possess high integrity, unbiased, decisive, results oriented and a keen sense of business ownership.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, tax compliance, planning knowledge and relevant legislations such as companies act, employment act, etc.
  • Strong communication skills including business and report writing skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and financial management skills and the ability to conceptualise solution which are practical and feasible.
  • With strong leadership quality, confident and self motivated.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and independently. Pro-active and able to work effectively within a multi-functional and cross-cultural team.
